La Sonrisa de la Muerte es un espacio de producción y exposición de arte gráfico ubicado en Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, México.

La Sonrisa abre sus puertas en el 2014 de la mano de Cedric Volon, diseñador gráfico y artista plástico de origen belga. Él, junto a su compañera Florence, viven en Todos Santos durante un año y comienzan este proyecto que tiene como objetivo principal dar visibilidad a la producción de artistas jóvenes enfocados a las artes gráficas. Reúne, en su gran mayoría, obra de artistas mexicanos, pero también la de algunos artistas extranjeros.
A fines de 2015 Saskia Onvlee, artista plástica orientada a las artes gráficas y Carlos Domin, fotógrafo y cineasta, ambos argentinos, se mudan al pueblo y toman el compromiso de seguir con el trabajo ya realizado en La Sonrisa de la muerte. Suben la apuesta del proyecto y amplían el espacio dando lugar al taller de producción gráfica y sumando a la propuesta visual la obra de nuevos artistas jóvenes y de trayectoria. Con la incorporación del taller al espacio nace la posibilidad de ofrecer, a la comunidad local y visitante, un espacio de intercambio y aprendizaje permanente.
Mientras tanto los fundadores regresan a Bruselas-Bélgica donde, un año más tarde, abren una galería hermana llamada ¨Calaveras¨
Actualmente ambos espacios siguen trabajando en conjunto con la misma premisa en común, celebrar la gráfica!

La Sonrisa de la Muerte is a space that celebrates the production and exhibition of graphic art, located in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
La Sonrisa de la Muerte opened in 2014, under the expertise of Cedric Volon, a graphic designer and plastic artist of Belgian origin. Along with his partner Florence, Cedric lived in Todos Santos for a year and began the project which aimed to increase visibility around young artists focused on graphic arts. The gallery is international, though proudly and primarily focuses on work by Mexican artists.

At the end of 2015, Saskia Onvlee (graphic arts-oriented plastic artist) and Carlos Domin (photographer and filmmaker), both Argentines, moved to Todos Santos and committed to continue with the work, taking over operations at the gallery. With a full expansion of the space and deep dedication, they've given rise to the graphic production workshop, where visual proposal of the work of new young and career artists is in full focus.
By incorporating the workshop into the gallery space, the possibility of offering the local community, as well as visitors, a space to exchange and learn was born. Cedric and Florence returned to Brussels, Belgium where, a year later, they open a sister gallery called ¨Calaveras¨
Currently both spaces continue working together with the same common goal: to honor graphic arts!
